World Dance Day Purashkar 2011 was conferred V Soumyasree representing Maharashtra by Natraj Music & Dance Academy, Visakhapatnam on 29th April 2011, World Dance Day.16 artistes of different classical dance styles from different states were selected for this prestigious award.There were Lecture- Demonstrations in 16 community Halls organized in collaboration with Visakhapatnam city Corporation and the audience were from fishermen colonies, slum areas.More than 370 folk artistes from Andhra Pradesh were also invited to perform in the evening and were given ghungroos and clothes.
