I feel proud to have represented our University Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathawada University, City Aurangabad and our state Maharashtra for research and dance from 28th July to 8th August 2014 in UK.
I presented research paper at the International Federation for Theatre Research 2014 at University of Warwick on 30th July in New Scholars Forum as a Ph.D candidate from Performing Arts Dept, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathawada University under the guidance my guide Dr. Shashikant Barhanpurkar, HOD. There were delegates from Indian universities like JNU, New Delhi, Central University, Hyderabad and from Maharashtra I was the only one.
Also performed in Open Mic performance in the University of Warwick on 1st August for all the delegates who represented 60 countries and was very well received. On 8th August, I performed Kuchipudi Lecture & Performance at Indian High Commission’s The Nehru Centre, London and it was attended by many dignitaries of High Commission of different countries and nationalities.
Ms Sangeeta Bahadur, Director of the Nehru Centre made introduction and my performance and was honored by the dignitaries. I perfromed Ramayana Sabdam, Annamacharya Kirtanam, excerpt from Dance theatre Presentation “three earths” and gave lecture on “Differences & Similarities between technique of Bharata Natyam & Kuchipudi”.
It was a touching moment when a person from the audience applauded the performance and blessed me. He was an elderly Pakistani gentleman. It was a proud and happy feeling to represent our state and city at international arena.
